I'm not blogging much today (or for the weekend for that matter), but I'm leaving behind something to rest yo' optics on.

Left Behind

To follow up on a comment written recently by trusty visitor Vince, I too tend to go downhill when my wife leaves for a prolonged period. But deeper, I don't like it when she leaves on business. I get a harrowing vision of what it's like to be a widower, or a glimpse of some horrible future timeline where she's divorced me for something terrible I've done, and I'm left to rattle alone in my dwelling for endless nights as some kind of punishment. Purgatory in the condo-lined suburbs.

I don't like either of them very much, as you can imagine.
