Moment of silence

U.S. Senator Paul Wellstone, along with some of his family and staff, has been killed in a plane crash.

I'm in utter shock. Wellstone was one of the more liberal members of the U.S. Senate. He was a sane voice in American politics, recently taking a stand against Team Bush's plans on invading Iraq. From all accounts, he was a decent man who served the people of Minnesota with honor and integrity.

He was up for re-election in November.

Somewhere, a great light has just gone out.
