I was dreaming when I wrote this ...
... forgive me if it goes astray.
Man, I just re-read my entry from last night, tweaking a few errors along the way. Heh, maybe it'll be a good thing if I don't get the Nintendo editing gig.
For 4,800 words written and finally posted at 11 p.m., it's pretty coherent in parts. It's the longest thing I've written in a while, so I'm cutting myself some slack. Plus, being your own editor is a nightmare. It's the literary equivalent of being your own lawyer. In the cold light of the next morning, you see things which looked good at the time, but need to be rewritten or just plain vaporized. All the while you wonder, “Dear God, what did I miss on the editing test?”
Anyway, I'm going to the "Not In Our Name" rally today in Seattle. Look for me. I'll be the one against war in Iraq.
In a fit of irony though, I have to get my oil changed and fill up the car with gas before I go to the rally. Sigh.
