Be our guest

My wife’s folks are coming up from Arizona to attend the funeral of my wife’s uncle on Saturday. They’ll be here in a little while, so I may not be blogging a lot over the next few days. Also, I’ve been struck with a great short story idea, so I’ll be challenging my energies that way. I will try to keep up the Alpha-Release Fiction Snip of the Day, as well as the French Word of the Day.

Remember when "Aim High" was merely the Air Force motto?

Because Alabama is the ideal terrorist target.

Speaking of terror

Germany and the U.K. aren’t so keen on the American warpath against Iraq. Remember, these guys are U.S. allies.

Again, I’m no friend of Iraqi leader Saddam Hussein, but there has to be a better way around this. I mean, if Slobodan Milosevic can be brought to trial, why not Hussein?

I know, then Team Bush couldn’t play with their new war toys and distract the press from the administration’s ties to corporate malfeasance and a rotten economy.

French Word of the Day

faux brave (foh brahv): false bravery; bravado; swagger.

Alpha Release Fiction Snip of the Day

…is currently brainstorming a delicious short story. I’ll be so heartbroken if this has been done before.
